Does anyone have any ideas of what the fractal trade mark of this prime
time TV show is?

After some experimentation I found that a Julia of power four
gives a three cycle spiral like the TV one.
My cyclotomic cycles julias give an approximation at m=9, n=3:
r(z)=((a+1)*z-a*z^(n+1))/sd
a=Exp{I*2*Pi/m]
n=3
m=9
sd=1.5
close up at 0.5 to 0.25
